Merchant Taylors’ Design Competition
On Monday, three Year 10 girls – El, Harriet and Esme represented the school at the final of the Merchant Taylors’ Design Competition in London.
They competed in the intermediate group consisting of Year 10 and Year 11 pupils. Their challenge was to design and prototype an innovative design concept of their own for a potential client.
The girls presented their design work and ideas at individual stands, facing questions from industry judges, including the Merchant Taylors’ Company Master.
The girls were confident and composed, showing passion and enthusiasm for their design idea, with El winning the intermediate category with her ‘Drip Catcher Cone’.
It was inspiring to witness our future generation of designers in action. Congratulations to the girls – we’re incredibly proud of you!
